Based on new innovations Senson produces gluten-free malt extracts containing less than 20 ppm of gluten. In terms of color or taste, there is no difference between gluten free malt extracts and traditional malt extracts.
Gluten free malt extracts are typically used to enhance the flavor, colour and structure in gluten free foods, such as bakery products, beverages, breakfast cereals and snacks. Gluten free malt extracts have similar nutritional and technological performance as regular malt extracts, only the gluten is removed.
Currently Senson provides two different gluten free malt extracts:
Maltax 10 GF, gluten free barley malt extract with light colour
Maltax 1100 GF, gluten free barley malt extract with dark colour
Extracts are clean label and produced according to high quality, food safety, environmental and ethical standards. Each batch of gluten free malt extract is analysed at packaging stage to verify the gluten free status.
