After picking and draying hop cones are pressed into farmer bales or prisms - weight ca. 60 kg. In processing plant hops are poured out bales, cleaned, homogenized, dried and preserved, if required, by sulphitation.
After all hop cones are pressed into cylindrical (ballots) or rectangular (prisms) shapes according to requests of customers.

The TOP HOP GROUP counts a total of six agricultural companies whose business is growing hops. All are in the Saaz growing region and the hop gardens are in the best locations of the Underwood and Golden Creek Valley subregions. A good location and quality care for hops are guarantees of high quality of the hops grown here.
Both hops harvested on own hop farms and purchased from contracted farmers are transported to the cooling warehouse without any delay. Early pelletizing in own processing plant and storage of final product at ambient temparature arround 2-4°C guarantee the top quality of hops. The Certificate of purity of the variety is issued by the State authority for each packing order.
The research laboratory V.F.Humulus was incorporated in 1994. The principal mission is hops-related research in viruses elimination from the Saaz fine aroma hops. The aim is in obtaining qualitatively better Saaz fine aroma hops with increased ability to compete on world markets. Virus free Saaz hop rootstocks are produced here and distributed to the hop farmers in pots.
In the Chemical department the hop analyses for farmers, pelletizing plant purposes and breweries are provided. Analysis of brewing valuable substances as well as analysis of pesticide residues are the part of the shipping documents.
Audits of ISO9001 and HACCP by TÜV Süd Czech were performed in December 2012 for hop purchasing, cold storage, hop processing and sale.
