The First-Beer yeast and bacteria PCR-differentiation kit detects and identifies the following species: Lactobacillus, Pediococcus, Acetic acid bacteria, Enterobacteriaceae, Bottom-fermented yeasts, Top-fermented yeasts and Wild yeasts.The kit is ready-to-use that means all relevant primers and probes, including inhibition- and positive control DNA are freeze-dried. Only sample-DNA and Premix have to be added. Therefore the contamination risk is reduced and the handling is very easy. The evaluation is done in 4 detection channels (FAM,HEX,ROX,CY5) and the kit has an open platform for several real-time PCR machines.
To guarantee a consistently high quality of beverages, routinely microbiological checks are carried out in the companies. The classical microbiological test methods require five to seven days and depending on the product matrices only small sample volumes can be analysed. For difficult or non filterable drinks currently no reliable analytical method is available. With a newly developed method it is now possible to isolate microorganisms from large sample volumes, viscous and solid-laden fluids easy and quick. The advantages of the method are the detection of trace contaminations due to large sample volumes, closed anaerobic conditions to identify strictly anaerobic microorganisms, easy handling and detection of spoilers in difficult or non filterable drinks.
QuickGEN PCR-detection of beer spoilers without preenrichment
New kits for detection of beer spoilers directly from a larger sample of beer without preenrichment. The kits are available in two versions. 1. isolation of the microorganisms directly from the membranefilter or 2. by centrifugation of the beer sample. Detection and identification is done by special developed real-time PCR kits (e.g. QPP1T or QTPBD)
Screening- and identification PCR-kit for beer spoilage micrrorganisms
The new developed real-time PCR screening- and identification kit detects and identifies 30 relevant beer spoilage microorgansims. The simultaneously detection of the Enterobacteriaceae group and the spoilage yeasts Saccharomyces diastaticus and Pichia anomala are unique.
