The new Digox 6.1 sets the standard for measuring oxygen in beer. In quality assurance of breweries the Digox 6.1 is generally employed to control all stages of the brewing process, e.g. measuring the oxygen concentration downstream the filtration or upstream the bottling.
In laboratories the instrument is frequently used to determine the amount of total oxygen in bottles or containers. The characteristic feature of the Digox 6.1 is the open electrode, which is in direct contact with the liquid sample. This measuring principle implies not only a fixed zero point and a linear calibration curve, but also a very short response time (<10 sec). The instrument can be calibrated even during measuring by means of the Thiedig Active Calibration. Therefore the accuracy and the reliability are very high, which makes the Digox 6.1 the reference to check the precise operation of oxygen meters based on other measuring principles.
