The exclusive and highly appreciated horizontal disk system that has always been adopted in Della Toffola models marked a significant step forward in filtration technique and is used in all the company’s versions: the ECP manual drainage models with 2 to 3 sq m filtering surface areas, the 3 to 5 sq m filtering surface area FSB manual drainage models, and the NF models with centrifugal discharge of the cake available in 5 to 60 sq m filtering surface area versions. Della Toffola proposes this type of filter to the beer industry as one of its greatest technological achievements, a true classic that offers matchless reliability and duration as amply documented by testimony from around the world. The NF model is particularly indicated for the filtration of sugar solutions containing suspended solids in which decoloring substances like powdered carbon are used. These machines are suited for products in concentrations of up to 65° Brix and temperatures of up to 85° C or for finishing or rough filtration. This model is usually installed in systems composed of two filters for the continuous filtration of hot solutions (80-85°C) with constant flow and a system with fully automated cake and wash water discharge and transport. The NF models required minimum maintenance times with a reduced use of equipment as another advantage to operational economy. Built to 97/23/CE (PED) Standards. All filter components are in stainless steel AISI 304, while the reduction units and electric motors are protected by acid resistant paint treatment.
