New trends and products require innovative process technology: The Heidelberg Mixer (HD Mixer) developed by INDAG is a high-capacity process plant for the dosing and mixing of syrup and still beverages in the batch mode, which ensures an exact dosing and perfect mixture. If required, a flexible extension of the production is possible.
The Heidelberg Mixer works in the batch mode. As a central station, it can supply several filling lines with syrup products or still beverages. The individual components for the mixing are held in a compound station and a small quantity station, or in a storage tank for larger quantities. For exact volumetric dosing, the ingredients of the recipe are already available in liquid and standardized form. Crystalline or powdered components are dissolved in tanks to allow for a constant product quality and an extremely efficient method of production.
All stations are equipped with dosing pumps which convey the components via the flow meters of the dosing station into the batch tanks. After the dosing step, the respective dosing line is rinsed with water as part of the recipe so that all the beverage components can be processed without loss.
Two batch tanks are assigned to each filling line which are filled and emptied alternately. The speed-regulated agitator in the batch tanks provides for a homogenous mixture and gentle product treatment. With the Heidelberg Mixer, an effective processing of the remaining quantity of the beverage components is possible.
The Heidelberg Mixer is based on a modular plant concept. In the early stages of projecting a plant, component and filling line extensions can be taken into account: This renders production flexible and easily extendible.
