Husky have a proud history and our journey to become a global leader in refrigeration continues to this day.
Husky started life in the 1950s in Blackburn (in the North-West of England) as a provider of refrigeration services, having benefitted from the increase in demand of refrigerators as wartime food rationing ended.
Acquisition by the Thomasson family and a successful association with Helkama Refrigerators in Finland saw the development of refrigerators specifically designed to not only cool but to better merchandise retail products in both shops and bars. For several years running Husky was awarded "Supplier Of The Year" by the UK Government's Central Purchasing Unit. Closer cooperation with FMCG brands encouraged expansion overseas as global brands requested the same quality standards across Europe, North America and South East Asia.
In 2014 Serge Kremer took control of the company, bringing fresh investment and growth plans. Today we at Husky are still a family business with strong loyalty and empathy principals. We take a long term view of our business. Husky International Ltd forms part of the Husky family that includes Husky United Kingdom, Husky Germany, Husky Sweden, Husky South Africa, Husky Australia and Husky Fiji.
In order to take our future into our own hands, we recently opened our 100% Wholly Owned Foreign Entity manufacturing facility in Guangdong, China. Our manufacturing facility is run by long term Husky International Managers with many years’ experience in the industry. This ensures that all the demands on design, engineering, quality, reliability and customer service expected by our large range of international customers are met and controlled by ourselves.
Husky is proud to export to countries all over the world, working in conjunction with major brands including AB Inbev, Carlsberg, Coca-Cola, Diageo, SAB Miller and many more.
In over 50 years Husky has made an incredible journey from servicing refrigeration in the North-West of England to a global provider of quality refrigeration.
