GEA’s batch mixing system type DI-BATCH™ can be used to process dry substances and liquids to a finished syrup. One special feature of this system is the partial discharge from packing drums by means of a barrel pump and a hopper tank on weight cells. Dry ingredients are completely dissolved in tempered water in a dissolving tank by use of a high shear pump prior to being fed to the mixing tank. Bottles with liquid ingredients will be emptied and flushed in a separate tank for full utilization of concentrate. Employing customized OTAS® software ensures full traceability of ingredients via barcode labelling. GEA’s solution offers the customer an attractive recipe management system giving 100% control but no risk due to full traceability of batches.
