With the GEA rotoramic Membrane Disc Filters, GEA enters into the concentration of valuable products, i.e. beer recovery from surplus yeast. Breweries benefit from the lowest possible energy consumption in combination with gentle product treatment. Compared to the classic cross-flow filtration the energy consumption is 75% lower. As is known from the ceramic elements, the discs are totally inert and fully resistant to chemicals. Typical processes beside the brewing applications are recovery of retentate of the fruit juice industry and concentration of valuable byproducts.
