With its patented UNIMODUL, BMS offers a straightforward, intelligent and flexible repacking solution and demonstrates how it has been able to draw on continuously expanding engineering expertise in machine and plant design. The multifunctional packing, unpacking and repacking machine not only solves a wide range of tasks, it is also easy to operate using the touch panel.

The BMS intermittent packers offer dynamic and flexible solutions for packing and unpacking as well as for sorting and repacking in all relevant capacities. Ergonomic in design, these systems ensure excellent accessibility and guarantee high system availability.

Cam-controlled packing machine

UNIPACK 100

Der BMS cam-controlled packing machine UNIPACK 100 has been specifically designed for small and medium capacities. Here the gripper head runs in high precision guides with a stable lever junction and is actuated via a solid steel cam. The installed asynchronous drive with enhanced energy efficiency and performance is also practically maintenance free.

With its modular design based on a stable, welded and distortion-free stainless steel structure, the UNIPACK 100 can be individually adjusted to very different containers and packs. The UNIPACK 100 is available as a packing or unpacking unit and for T-configuration or H-configuration.

Portal-type packer

UNIPACK 103

The high performance packers BMS Unipack 103 are very rugged and durable machines due to their portal-type design. The packing cam is freely programmable and is driven by maintenance-free drive systems. With its modular design, based on a stable, distortion-free stainless steel structure, the UNIPACK 103 allows an individual adjustment to different container and pack sizes.

By selecting the grouping length the BMS UNIPACK 103 can be individually adjusted to the prevailing circumstances and the customer’s required capacity. Restricted space requirement and integrated protective equipment are further advantages of the portal-type design.

Portal-type packer BMS UNIPACK 2.0

With its new development of the packing machine UNIPACK 2.0 BMS has responded to the increase in variety of products and containers in the small and medium capacity range. Compared to the previous model the new portal-type packer is much more powerful and can now be used for all pick-and-place applications in the brewing, beverage, dairy and food industry.

The UNIPACK 2.0 offers all advantages of the proven BMS portal design, featuring maximum flexibility, short retooling time and high investment security based on the retrofit ability of the portal axis.

Other characteristic features of the UNIPACK 2.0 are its modular features, its consistent hygiene design as well as its optimised structure and operation.

Depending on the spatial conditions at the customer’s premises BMS offers individually tailored palletising technology using both the column-type and the portal-type design. Open systems make the operation easier and speed up retrofitting and conversion jobs.

BMS palletisers and depalletisers are stable, compact machines that are designed for all performance ranges and packing requirements.

Portal-type technology

UNIPAL 105 & 106

A characteristic feature of the portal-type palletiser BMS UNIPAL 105/106 is its accurate positioning, even in the most powerful performance range. With its distortion-free welded stainless steel structure and unique bridge-type design of the X-axis – ensuring optimal load distribution – these machines are also extremely rugged and durable. Together with the maintenance-free drive technology the motion control system ensures gentle action on the product and material in an individually adjustable, rectangular work area with no dead areas or restrictions.

With their modular design the portal-type palletisers permit a highly flexible project planning. The arrangement of the infeed and discharge positions can also be freely selected. Depending on the machine version the portal-type palletisers BMS UNIPAL 105/106 are suitable for bottling plants with a maximum capacity of up to 60,000 bottles/hour.

Column-type technology

UNIPAL 107 & 108

The column-type robots BMS UNIPAL 107/108 can be used in multiple ways for palletising and depalletising of e.g. beverage crates, shrink-packs, multipacks or cartons. The column robots reach maximum speeds of 450 cycles/h and handle loads of up to 750 kg. They are available as swivel-arm or linear-arm robots. Due to their motion control system and the specific application of counterweights theses BMS column-type robots are extremely accurate and energy efficient. The product-optimised gripper systems also ensure optimal pack protection as well as high stacking quality.

The column-type robots BMS UNIPAL 107/108 can be optionally fitted with quick-changeover equipment for the gripper system and additionally with customer-specific lifting and swivel motions as well as linear motions.

Sweep-off depalletising

UNIPAL 201 & 202

The BMS sweep-off depalletiser UNIPAL 201 with pallet lift and the UNIPAL 202 with height adjustment are top-of-the-range machines that complete our programme of container handling equipment that is based on our proven UNIPAL technology. BMS sweep-off depalletisers process all types of containers used in the beverage industry and in all relevant performance ranges. Our many years of experience in palletising technology and our highly qualified and innovative engineering staff enable us to offer you the highest level of mechanical engineering, functionality and performance, also in this application field.

The sweep-off depalletisers BMS UNIPAL 201/202 are adaptable high-performance machines for depalletising new containers such as tins, jars or plastic containers. The integrated control and drive systems permit accurate positioning in a dynamic mode of operation. Due to the control concept and specific use of counterweights the BMS sweep-off palletisers are particularly energy efficient. The product-optimised gripper systems also ensure optimised and gentle handling of the pack.

BMS conveyors are custom-made, solid structures of durable stainless steel: based on a flexible modular system and using a specially developed COP concept (Carry-Over Parts from previous models) we are able to optimally cover the entire conveyor range of the wet and dry parts of a bottling line.

Our in-house production also offers you additional advantages: we ensure an ideal flow of material without compromise – and can offer further upgrades, even after several years. For our drives we solely use gear motors from reputable manufacturers with frequency inverters and soft start features. Upon request, the conveyors can be connected to the system control via bus interface.

BMS UNICONTROL P – Pallet Control System

 A new presentation from BMS is the pallet control system “UNICONTROL P”. An independent machine with control cabinet and pallet conveyor for the handling of Euro pallets and industrial pallets.

The basic module has 2 nail press rollers that can detect and press-in any nails. It also features a pressure check of cover boards and runners. The basic module can be expanded by 2 additional modules. In this connection, each check can be pressure adjusted separately. By using analogous displacement sensors the threshold values can be set at the operating panel and through the independent control a high level of standardisation can be reached. Checking of the blocks is carried out in a contactless manner.
