Application: Surplus yeast can make up to 2-3% or a brewery’s output and consists to about 50% of beer. Separating the beer and yeast results in higher output of the brewery and improves the possibilities of yeast as a side product. Application: The dealcoholisation is performed under vacuum and low temperature. After degassing, the alcohol is stripped and collected separately. The alcohol can be further concentrated up to 90%. Once cooled, the beer is carbonated again and re-integrated into the regular production process. The process is suitable for filtered as well as non-filtered beer.

Application: Beer filtration by crossflow with polymeric membranes can be used for continuous operation. The single units operate independently and can therefore backflush when needed.
The polymeric membranes are hydrophilic and provide an asymmetrical structure specially adapted to beer. The asymmetrical structure greatly contributes to maintaining a steady filtration flow rate. The membranes can be exposed to alkaline, acidic and oxidising cleaning agents.

Application: Cold sterile filtration before the filler is an alternative to flash pasteurizing. The Bucher Unipektin skid allows a flexible and easy-to-integrate solution for small to medium size breweries (flowrates from 30-500hl/h). This safe solution for a reliable product shelf life uses standard cartridges, and an integrity test of these membrane cartridges can be performed before each run.
