GETRÄNKEFACHGROSSHANDEL has been the official organ of the Bundesverband des Deutschen Getränkefachgroßhandels e.V. since 01.01.1998.

The Bundesverband des Deutschen Getränkefachgroßhandels e.V. (Federal Association of German Beverage Wholesalers) has over 500 member companies and around 44,900 (industry, not association members) employees. It currently generates annual sales of 23.8 billion euros, of which the member companies account for around 80 percent.

The beverage wholesalers united in the association ensure that over 80 percent of all beers, over 40 percent of all mineral waters, over 30 percent of all soft drinks and 20 percent of all fruit juice drinks reach and are sold at the point of sale, i.e. primarily in the hospitality and retail sectors.

In addition, since January 2009 GETRÄNKEFACHGROSSHANDEL has been the official organ of the Verband des Deutschen Getränke Einzelhandels e.V. (Association of German Beverage Retailers). The 2,350 or so beverage stores organized there generate annual sales of over 2.55 billion euros.
