Among others, its reason is the increasing water demand and the growing awareness of geogenic and anthropogenic contamination of water and associated risks. As a consequence of the increasing water demand also occurrences must be used that are geogenically contaminated. On the other hand – we must note more and more frequently that our groundwater or the surface water used for providing drinking water is contaminated with micropollutants. It is necessary to use, adapt or develop processes so as to provide a selective removal of individual elements or chemical bonds. Among others uranium, arsenic, radium, fluoride, bromide and pesticides are specifically removed already today. Depending on further usage this happens without changing the essential characteristics of the water to be treated. The used processes are for example membrane processes, ion exchangers, adsorption and oxidative methods with UVC-light. We are responding to these challenges and if required we work out a customized solution for any special requirements.
