UV disinfection systems by Wedeco use chemical-free technologies and are widely applied for drinking water treatment in food and beverage production. Wedeco's Spektron series contain several highly efficient UV lamps and eliminate 99.9% of all bacteria, viruses and parasites in a fraction of a second. The Spektron-i models, made of 316L stainless steel, are equipped with hygienic flanges or optional TriClamp connections and are suitable for CIP cleaning.

With drinking water as a crucial raw material in any beverage production, UV disinfection provides planned safety in production and a longer shelf life of the final product.

In combination with Wedeco's ozone systems as well as other filter stages, well water and also process water can be purified into drinking water and reused for production in a closed water recycling loop.

In addition to the actual UV reactor with highly efficient UV lamps, the Wedeco system also includes the stainless steel control cabinet with IP65 protection class, which is equipped with Profinet, Modbus and Ethernet interfaces. The system is operated via multi-language touchscreen.
