13 - 15 November 2018 // Nuremberg

Welcoming Address by the Mayor of Nuremberg

Ladies and gentlemen,

BrauBeviale, the European trade fair for the beverage industry, raw materials, technologies, logistics and marketing, is taking place again from 13 to 15 November 2018. I would like to warmly welcome all visitors and exhibitors to Exhibition Centre Nuremberg for this event.

Nuremberg is the ideal venue for this exhibition, as our city can look back on more than 700 years of brewing history and the Franconia region has the highest concentration of breweries in the world.

As the heart of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region, Nuremberg is one of the 10 largest economic centres in Germany and has a population of 3.5 million. As a business location, Nuremberg is home to high-tech and industrial enterprises and modern service providers, and is continuing to evolve into an innovation capital for cutting-edge technologies as well as research and development. The city's economic strength is matched by its high quality of life. Nuremberg is a great place to live and do business and offers outstanding prospects.

In addition, NürnbergMesse - which is meanwhile one of the top 10 exhibition companies in Europe and one of the 15 largest in the world - has for many years offered BrauBeviale an attractive environment and ideal conditions. More than 1,100 exhibitors and an expected 40,000 trade visitors make the fair a showcase for innovations and investments. In keeping with the trade fair theme “The art of brewing goes digital”, technical developments in this sector will play an important role at the event.

I hope that BrauBeviale 2018 goes well, that exhibitors have good outcomes and make lots of new business contacts, and that visitors get plenty of inspiration and enjoy a pleasant stay in Nuremberg.
