She is firmly established in the beverages sector, on first-name terms with many brewers and does her job with the greatest passion. Because when it comes to the subject of beer, she is committed to it heart and soul – both professionally as well as privately. Andrea Kalrait has been at NürnbergMesse GmbH for 25 years and since 2013 Director of Exhibitions at BrauBeviale, one of the most important equipment shows for the beverages sector. With immediate effect she is also in charge of the strategy for international trade fairs in key growth markets, which are grouped together under the Beviale Family. In spring 2017, she went one step further and trained to become a beer sommelière on a two-week crash-course. In an interview she has now revealed to us what prompted this decision, to what extent her taste for beer has changed as a result and how she would like to contribute her newly-acquired know-how to the next BrauBeviale Triple (2018/2019/2020).
March 2017
At the beginning of March 2017, within the framework of the Feira Brasileira da Cerveja in Blumenau, the future cooperation between NürnbergMesse GmbH and the Secretaria de Turismo de Blumenau/Parque Vila Germanica (PVG) was officially declared. As a result, the Beviale Family is extending its international growth strategy to include a new market: Brazil.

BrauBeviale, the most important investment goods fair for the beverage industry this year, was held from 8 to 10 November 2016. 1,117 exhibiting companies came together with almost 38,000 trade visitors at the exhibition centre Nuremberg. We went around the halls and asked several exhibitors how successful the fair had been for them. Here are their responses:

After three successful trade fair days, BrauBeviale has now closed on a spectacular note and is entering its scheduled one-year break before returning in 2018 with fresh ideas. Almost 38,000 trade visitors, over 16,000 of them international, informed themselves intensively at this year’s most important investment goods fair for the beverage industry. The 1,117 exhibitors included regular guests and newcomers, world market-leaders and small and medium-sized companies. They presented everything connected with the process chain: high-quality raw materials, innovative technologies, efficient logistics and stylish marketing ideas. Creative beverage culture was the trend theme on the exhibition stands and in the supporting program.
